Matt has over 14 years of high level not-for-profit accounting experience and is an expert in the not-for-profit field. Matt started his career with Deloitte & Touche one of the Big 4 Public Accounting firms. For five years he specialized in assurance and consulting for Healthcare and Not-for-Profit organizations. He also has served over 150 nonprofits at a Long Island based CPA firm.
Matt has provided educational seminars both internally and for client board meetings on topics including accounting and auditing updates, changes in IRS form 990, FASB Codification projects, internal control testing, and other industry specialization topics. Matt has worked with various public and private funding sources on behalf of his clients.
Matt has graduated from SUNY-Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics and Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus with a Master of Science in Accounting. Matt is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Matt is a Director on the Board of Directors of Options for Community Living, Inc. and is an active member in the PTA. In his spare time enjoys traveling with his wife and children.
